Hi! My name is Zoya Hasan. I love learning about science and math, as well as different cultures. In school, I am involved in Model UN, Project Earth, Ping Pong club, and AAPI Student Union. I have been playing tennis for a very long time and I play for the Edina girl's team. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching movies and TV shows, being active, and biking. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Global Scholars Program and learn about other countries!

Hi, my name is Abby Watz and I’m super excited to be a part of Edina Global Scholars! I’m currently on the STEM pathway and love to learn about all things related to science, especially biology and chemistry! Outside of Global Scholars I’m a member of the varsity tennis team as well as a captain of the World Quest team for the 2024-2025 school year. When I’m not in school I love to experiment with new recipes, hike or go for walks, and travel with my family. Lastly, I participated in the Ukraine Virtual Exchange.

Bonjour! I'm Angela Langsweirdt and I'm focusing on STEM as my area of study. My favorite subjects are Math, Science, and French. Growing up in an American/Latina household has provided me with unique cultural experiences. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, badminton, and singing. I am part of the Debate team, in which I am very involved. I am excited to be a part of the Global Scholars Program as I enjoy learning about other countries and their cultures!

Hi! I'm Mazie Solarz-Patel, and I'm so glad to be part of the Global Scholars program here in Edina. I've moved over nine times throughout my life, so being able to finally settle down and really become immersed in my school's community has been wonderful. Besides Global Scholars, I also love English, psychology, and biology. Outside of school, I participate in theater, horseback riding, and writing contests, as well as doing a lot of photography, drawing, poetry, reading, and singing!

Hi, my name is Claire Safranski, and I am so honored to be apart of this amazing program. For my concentration of study, I am focusing on a humanities pathway. I am involved in piano (14th year), tennis (4th year), and softball (9th year). In my free time, I enjoy writing short-stories based on important topics, traveling with my family, participating in writing contests and piano contests, and lastly, spending time with my golden retriever, Farrah.

Hi! I’m Bergen, a current sophomore. I love swimming, skiing, reading, and hanging out with my friends and family. My family and I love to travel, and I hope to live somewhere in Europe when I’m older.

Hi! My name is Max Willmuth and I’m excited to be part of the Global Scholars Program at EHS. I’m focusing on the STEM pathway and considering a career in computer science and/or mechanical engineering. I went to Normandale French Immersion Elementary and have enjoyed practicing my French overseas and at immersion camps. I have a grandparent on each side of my family who was born and raised in a foreign country so I am particularly interested in international culture, experiences, and travel. Outside of school, I enjoy reading and chess. I’ve also been juggling for more than 8 years!

Hi! I’m Sadie, and I’m a 2025 Global Scholar. My pathways are Humanities, Fine Arts and STEM. I’m interested in International Relations and Linguitics, and I hope to study these in college on the pathway to law or diplomacy. I’m a public forum debater and a trumpet player in the band program. Some things I like to do in my free time are reading, exploring nature, listening to music and hanging out with my dog!
